Allison Cornell is a seasoned therapist and founder of Firefly Counseling & Consulting, PLLC, where she provides executive coaching, counseling, and trauma-informed therapy services. With over a decade of experience working in primary and secondary education, crisis counseling, and private practice, Allison has developed expertise in EMDR therapy, supervision, teaching, and professional development. She is also an EMDRIA Approved Consultant and a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, recognized for her commitment to supporting clients through healing and personal growth.

In addition to her counseling work, Allison serves as a Scout & Cellar Wine Consultant, combining her professional expertise with entrepreneurial pursuits. She has been honored as Region 12 Counselor of the Year (2019-2020) and continues to share her knowledge through workshops, podcasts, and consulting initiatives, helping both individuals and organizations build resilience, emotional wellness, and practical coping strategies.

Allison holds a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from Tarleton State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of North Texas. Her professional approach integrates clinical skill with creativity, advocacy, and a deep commitment to empowering others, whether through therapy, education, or her broader consulting and mentoring efforts.

One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is that insurance and financial barriers often prevent clients from accessing the care they need.
