01What do you attribute your success to?
I have been raised by and raised around some of the neatest women. Most of the leaders I can think of from my childhood were women. That's unique.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
I'm really thankful for men and women along the way who have told me to go for it. There's a phenomenon called the tap on the shoulder. Mentors and bosses tapped me on the shoulder and said you should really think about whatever the next leadership opportunity.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Go for it. It sounds trite but do it scared. Fear and excitement are the same thing.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Balancing the richness of my personal life with the volume of opportunities in my professional life. Opportunities include speaking, traveling, facilitating. I'm always trying to figure out capability versus capacity.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Safety is my number one non-negotiable for me and for my children. Another one is humor. I absolutely love to find the joy and find the humor in my work and my life.
