About Allison
Allison Levine has built a career spanning more than two decades in the wine industry, where she specializes in marketing, communications, events, and wine education. After studying film studies and communications in college and earning a master's degree in international communications with a focus on cross-cultural training, she worked in corporate communications and event planning in Washington, D.C. She moved to Los Angeles in 1999, transitioned through the tech sector, and entered the wine field after the dot-com bubble burst in 2001. Levine founded Please the Palate 15 years ago, offering marketing and event services to wineries and regions, hosting the Wine Soundtrack podcast, and writing freelance. She created the Festival of Undiscovered Grapes and has received a certificate of recognition from the mayor of Los Angeles and a Wine Travel Award for writing. She is a member of the Circle of Wine Writers, Women for Wine Sense, and served on the board of the Vintage Hollywood nonprofit event.
