Her Interview

Ten minutes with Allison

01What do you attribute your success to?

I think probably just a passion for the truth about why people do what they do. I'm very committed to really understanding the psychology of how people behave in the workplace and what it looks like in behavior and communication. That keeps you studying it and finding simplistic ways to share that with other people. Great relationships and networking have also made it successful as my business is run off of referrals.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

You cannot be for everybody. You really can't be for everybody. Doing what I do and the perspective that I take, you have to choose who your audience is, who you are really for. I have a more critical way of looking at stuff as a consultant and detective rather than a showpony entertainer. If you really want to specialize and be known for something, you have to choose who you are really talking to.
