Allison Minnix

I've spent 19 years in the construction industry, a field I was drawn to through my father, who was a handyman renovating houses throughout my whole life and brought me a love for construction. I started with a small filing position at a local company and worked my way up over the years. For the past 8 years, I've specialized in purchasing, most recently as a senior purchasing agent before taking on my current role as purchasing manager with a new company about 3 months ago. In my current position, I focus on budgets, estimating, and trade partner relationships - a little bit of everything. While I spend more time than I'd like behind my desk, I definitely take the time to go out and walk through projects to check out the quality and see what we're doing with the people that I bring to the table. I'm a hands-on learner who spent some time in college but decided that just wasn't the route for me, and instead learned through mentors and real-world experience, figuring it out throughout the journey.
