Allison Weaver
Allison Weaver, MBA, BHA, CPhT, is a senior healthcare leader with more than 20 years of experience spanning pharmacy operations, quality improvement, and performance management. She currently serves as Senior Manager of Quality and Performance Improvement at AnewHealth, where she partners cross-functionally to analyze quality events, lead investigations, and support operational and patient-safety initiatives. Known for her collaborative leadership style, Allison focuses on building strong systems, clear reporting structures, and KPI frameworks that drive measurable results. Allison began her career in retail pharmacy before transitioning into the mail-order and closed-door pharmacy space, where she steadily advanced through leadership roles in prescription entry, patient onboarding, engagement, operations, and quality. Throughout her career, she has led high-performing teams, supported large-scale process improvements, and helped develop programs that improved medication adherence and reduced operational risk. She is particularly passionate about using data-driven strategies and performance metrics to strengthen care delivery and enhance patient outcomes. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration and an MBA from Purdue University Global and is a Certified Pharmacy Technician. Allison also earned her Six Sigma Green Belt certification, further strengthening her expertise in process improvement and operational excellence. What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to hard work and a strong work ethic. I’ve always believed in showing up consistently, putting in the effort, and taking pride in doing things the right way. That mindset has helped me grow, earn trust, and create opportunities throughout my career.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to balance ambition with patience. It’s important to stay driven and set big goals, but also to understand that growth takes time and experience. Trusting the process while continuing to work hard has made a big difference in my journey.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would tell young women entering this industry to never give up on yourself. Grit and persistence matter more than a perfect path, and it’s never too late to pursue education or new opportunities. Don’t let your background, age, or setbacks define your limits — keep pushing forward and investing in your growth.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is transitioning into new roles, which can be daunting. At the same time, these transitions bring opportunities to grow, advance into leadership, and continue learning. Staying adaptable and persistent opens the door to meaningful career growth.
