Her Story

About Allison

Allison Williams serves as Ticketing Manager and Event Manager at Lime Rock Park, a premier motorsports venue in Lakeville, Connecticut, where she has built her career over the past three years. In this role, she designed and launched a new ticketing platform that became a major success this season, while also leading the ticketing team through the venue's races and events and lending her expertise to marketing and operations. Beyond ticketing operations, she coordinates a substantial philanthropic effort, managing donations and ticket raffles on behalf of more than 120 local organizations, including the YMCA and the Science Center in Hartford. Before entering the motorsports industry, Allison built a diverse professional background spanning construction, automotive services, elevator contracting, and security specialist. She worked as a Special Projects Coordinator and Project Specialist for Buckley Cable Construction Co., where she managed high-level projects, oversaw billing and invoicing, and served as a Salesforce subject matter expert. Earlier in her career, she spent nearly three years with Thyssenkrupp Elevator as a Contract Administrator and Accounts Receivable Specialist for the Southwest Region where she managed a portfolio of over 300 accounts generating $15 million in receivables. Her performance during that time was recognized in 2017, when her region brought in more than $250,000 in previously outstanding collections, earning her a trophy still displayed in the company's front office. Allison's educational path includes a Technical Diploma in Automotive Technology from Davis Applied Technology College, where she also completed early college coursework in a performance-focused track, as well as a Vocational Certificate in Project Management. She has further strengthened her professional toolkit with multiple certificates and training courses with The State of Utah for an unarmed Security Specialist. Reflecting on her career, Allison credits her success to hard work, dedication, and the guidance of strong mentors, including Emily Riess and Gary Saville, and she remains a firm believer in the power of women supporting one another as they navigate and advance within male-dominated industries.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Allison

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to hard work, dedication, and passion for what I do, along with the support of some really great mentors throughout my life. Especially in male-dominated industries, I've found that women banding together and lifting each other up helps push us all further.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I've received is that it's okay to fail. We live in a world where people are so afraid of failing, but a boss of mine once told me that failure just gives you another chance to try again, and that mindset has stuck with me.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I'd encourage young women entering this industry to support and mentor one another, especially since it's such a male-dominated field. Be persistent, be ready to work hard, and lean on other women around you to help each other climb the ladder.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

We work in the entertainment industry, which naturally comes with its highs and lows. It's also a very male-dominated field, so it can be difficult for women to advance or succeed, often requiring us to work twice as hard to get there.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I take a lot of pride in my work, and reliability and professionalism matter deeply to me. I want people to know they can count on me for anything, both professionally and personally.
