What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my background in acting, which has equipped me with the stamina, motivation, and presence required to thrive in high-energy, performance-driven environments. It taught me discipline, resilience, and how to fully commit—skills that I now bring to every campaign, livestream, and leadership role. I’m used to putting in 110%, and that mindset has played a major role in helping me succeed in the fast-paced world of LIVE e-commerce.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to not be afraid of change. Honestly, I never envisioned my career taking a turn in this direction after spending so many years being hyper-focused on a much more traditional performance trajectory, but I am so grateful that I was open to a new opportunity that catapulted me into a space where I thrive more than I ever expected to. Had I been too afraid to make that leap outside of my comfort zone, we likely wouldn't be having this conversation right now. I would challenge anyone who feels stagnant to take a leap of faith, even if a 2nd career isn't what you envisioned. It might just be the best thing that ever happened to you - it was for me.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to be consistent in your performance both on-camera and off. Yes, the actual hosting is very important, and maintaining high energy while staying personable and sales-driven is a juggling act of its own, but the planning and strategy needed ahead of a livestream as well as the ability to read, record, and understand your data is just as important as the actual on-air hosting itself. Many hosts rely on just being charming or personable on screen, but then don't know how to adjust as needed to maximize profits. Make sure you study, ask questions, and don't be afraid to reach out for guidance if you don't know what the metrics mean. You can't improve upon what you don't understand.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is managing the many moving pieces that go into a successful livestream—everything from coordinating deals to ensuring smooth execution in real time. Since I can’t be on air 24/7, building and leading a strong, reliable team is crucial to hosting consistently and driving conversions around the clock. This also presents a major opportunity: by developing a skilled team, we can scale livestream efforts, maximize reach, and create even greater impact for the brands we represent.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that matter most to me both in my work and personal life are commitment, balance, and growth. I’m married and a proud pet parent to two dogs and a cat, and right now we’re thoughtfully planning to grow our family. Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors, spending quality time with my family and with friends, and engaging my mind with chess—a passion I’ve also previously shared by tutoring children in the game. I am also an active member of Change Church - my faith is very important to me as well. These experiences keep me grounded and remind me of the importance of nurturing relationships, continuous learning, and making time for what truly matters.
