Ally Resse is a community advocate and the founder of PrettyFlyToAmplify, a recovery-focused initiative dedicated to supporting individuals navigating addiction and the families impacted alongside them. Through community meetings, a developing podcast, and recovery-centered programming, Ally is building spaces rooted in honesty, accountability, and connection. Her work centers on creating environments where people feel seen, supported, and empowered to pursue lasting change. Specializing in recovery, addiction advocacy, and family-centered healing, Ally’s philosophy is grounded in truthful storytelling and trusting intuition as a catalyst for growth. She believes meaningful recovery requires both personal responsibility and compassionate community, and she brings that balance into every program she builds. Her approach prioritizes open dialogue, emotional safety, and practical support for those often overlooked in traditional recovery conversations. Ally transitioned into recovery work following her own journey in sobriety, beginning this chapter of her career approximately two years ago. Prior to this shift, she worked in the medical and science fields, bringing a strong foundation of discipline and care into her advocacy work. She has also volunteered with Hawk, an organization supporting abused women through courtroom advocacy in Peabody. In recognition of her impact, Ally was selected as one of the Influential Women 100 for 2026, earning both national print and digital recognition for her leadership and community-driven work.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my journey in sobriety and what I call a “gift of desperation” that forced me to transform my life. Alongside that, discipline, intuition, and the unwavering support of my family—especially my mother—have given me the strength and clarity to turn my experiences into advocacy, coaching, and community-building for others on their recovery paths.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received came from my mother, Patty, who has been a constant source of strength, guidance, and encouragement throughout my journey. Her belief in me taught me the importance of perseverance, staying true to my values, and using my experiences to uplift others. I also draw inspiration from my daughter, whose love and affirmations remind me daily of the impact I can have in supporting and empowering women in our community. She is the inspiration behind raw honesty and accountability. My daughter has loved me when I didn't love myself and because of her I willingly walk through the darkness and welcome it as an opportunity for transformation.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would tell young women entering this field to trust their intuition, follow their passion, and stay committed to their dreams. Don’t let naysayers or discouragement derail you—listen to your inner voice, keep your drive strong, and continue working toward your goals. If you stay true to yourself and your vision, self love and confidence follows. I was told to stop trying to save the world and just save myself. I didn't listen to them, instead I heard my soul whisper that it's time to become everything that I am meant to be and I trusted myself. Blow your own mind.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field is that promoting my work on social media, writing grants, and building programs can be time-consuming and sometimes take focus away from direct service. At the same time, there are incredible opportunities to expand reach and impact through podcasting, community meetings, and increased visibility in editorial and networking platforms. These tools allow me to connect with more people and create a larger, supportive community for those in recovery.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are accountability, honesty, and service to family and community. I prioritize discipline and transparency in everything I do, and I deeply believe in the power of transformation—helping others, whether through recovery support or advocacy, to find hope and change in their lives. Outside of work, I bring these same values into time with my daughter, staying active in the community, and pursuing passions like music production, writing, and creative projects.
