About Alma
Alma Murcia-Mackin is Managing Attorney at her private firm Murcia-Mackin PC, which she founded in 2014 after leaving big corporate roles to better balance her career with motherhood. With 26 years of experience, she acts as Of-Counsel to international mining companies with U.S. operations, serving as their primary U.S. legal contact. In this capacity she manages compliance responsibilities with the SEC and New York Stock Exchange and drafts and files all required regulatory reports. She is fluent in Spanish, enabling her to work comfortably with Latin American clients. Alma also mentors law students through Rutgers University, offering hands-on experience in corporate law, and she hires other mothers as part-time attorneys to help them maintain their careers while raising families.
