What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to being built on a powerful combination of a deeply ingrained work ethic from my parents and others in my family, my unwavering faith in Jesus Christ while having the faith of a mustard seed, and a having natural talent for navigating the unique demands of people.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Know your value and then add tax.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Invest in your mind -Education is the one thing nobody can ever take away from you. Protect your peace -Always remember to have your own back. Stay connected -Keep your ears open and never burn a bridge; you never know when you’ll need to cross it again.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of my greatest challenges was navigating that old-school, male-dominated side of property management, where some technicians struggled to take direction from a woman. My approach was simple: respect their expertise, clarify our shared mission, and build a team, not a hierarchy. Once they saw that my assertiveness was paired with true partnership, those barriers began to dissolve. Today, my maintenance teams are what I believe to be world-class, and that initial challenge only made me a stronger, more resilient leader.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Raised by dedicated community volunteers, my leadership philosophy is anchored in a multigenerational legacy of service, work ethic, and radical equality. I operate under a simple rule: leave every place, property, and person better than you found them. In my office, this translates to treating every resident, guest, and colleague with identical dignity, ensuring that every interaction is uplifting and grounded in kindness. This is how I was raised and this is how I am raising my children.
