In addition to her corporate career, Alyssa is the Founder of Bouquet Bar–Moorhead, a floral business she launched from a deeply personal journey of healing and resilience. What began as a creative outlet has blossomed into a thriving venture rooted in community, kindness, and artistry. Through custom floral designs, micro bouquets, subscription services, and mobile bouquet bar events, Alyssa brings moments of beauty and hope to her community—believing that every stem tells a story and that flowers have the power to connect and uplift.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Alyssa is a proud wife and mother of three children, ages 11, 9, and 4. She and her family enjoy camping, biking, hiking, skiing, and snowmobiling—embracing the outdoors as a source of joy and togetherness. Deeply involved in her community, Alyssa contributes to silent auctions, donates floral arrangements, and hosts floral parties through her business. What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to hard work, perseverance, and the unwavering support of my husband, who has always encouraged me to pursue my goals. My personal story and background have also played a significant role in shaping my determination and work ethic, motivating me to overcome challenges and continue striving for excellence.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is not to let other people’s opinions define my path. If I believe in myself and in what I’m capable of achieving, then I can make it happen. Confidence and self-belief have been the driving forces behind every step of my journey.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to follow your passion wholeheartedly and believe in yourself. You are capable of achieving anything you set your mind to—stay confident, stay determined, and never underestimate your potential.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is accurately estimating and managing flower orders, especially for last-minute special events. Timing is everything in this industry, and ensuring that the right flowers are available and delivered fresh requires precise planning and quick decision-making. At the same time, this challenge also presents an opportunity to improve processes, strengthen supplier relationships, and enhance customer satisfaction through reliability and efficiency.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The most important values to me in both my work and personal life are honesty, integrity, appreciation, and love. I believe in being truthful and transparent in all my interactions, maintaining strong moral principles, and showing gratitude for the people and opportunities around me. Above all, I strive to approach everything I do with love and genuine care, as it creates a positive impact and lasting connections.
