About Alyssa
Alyssa Bitting serves as a Commercial Underwriter specializing in equipment finance and leasing. With about 10 years of experience in underwriting and commercial credit, she began her career in the retail space before transitioning to equipment finance around 2020 during the COVID period. She holds a business degree in organizational training. Alyssa entered the field through networking and by demonstrating her willingness to learn quickly and work hard, crediting supportive colleagues who provided training. She emphasizes the importance of believing in oneself and advocates for women in the industry to trust their voices and pursue opportunities with confidence. Outside of work, she has dedicated four years to fostering dogs through Home at Last Dog Rescue, finding purpose in saving animals from euthanasia.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My number one advice would be no one knows everything. Even those that seemed to you as extremely confident, they all started at the same place. So don't second guess yourself. Trust your voice. Hold your head high, and if you do your research, and you show up, and you believe you're deserving, people are gonna question that.
