Her Story

About Alyssa

Alyssa DeLibero is an accomplished event planner based in Carmel, Indiana, with roughly five years of experience spanning corporate event management, wedding planning, and hospitality. She currently works as a Meeting & Events Planner on the Eli Lilly and Company account, contracted through CBRE to support the pharmaceutical giant's global headquarters in Indianapolis. In this role, she has played a key part in launching and overseeing the newly established Lilly Event Center, helping bring the space to life for corporate gatherings. Among her career highlights is her contribution to Eli Lilly's 150th anniversary celebration, a multi-million dollar production that brought together more than 10,000 attendees, an achievement that speaks to her ability to execute large-scale events with precision and creativity.

Beyond her corporate work, Alyssa is the founder of Loved Weddings and Events, a wedding planning business she launched to pursue her passion for helping couples celebrate their most meaningful moments. Her path into the industry includes two years with a wedding and design company, as well as earlier experience in CPG sales, giving her a well-rounded foundation across catering, florals, design, and venue management. She holds both a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and a Master of Business Administration from Huntington University, having completed her MBA through an accelerated program that included hospitality-focused internships abroad in Scotland and Jamaica.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Alyssa serves as the Event Chair for Young Life in Central Indiana, where she volunteers her planning expertise to organize fundraising and awareness events for the organization. Driven by a deep appreciation for hospitality and connection, she is passionate about mentoring other women and young professionals looking to break into the events industry. Her guiding philosophy centers on encouraging others to pursue their ambitions fearlessly, drawing on the strong sense of community she has found among fellow wedding and event professionals throughout her own career.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Alyssa

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the mentorship I received along the way, the hands-on experience I gained through my internships, and a genuine passion for creating events and bringing people together.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would encourage her to follow her dreams and not let anyone tell her that this career is unrealistic or unattainable. The wedding professional community has been incredibly welcoming to me and has helped me grow my own business, so I'd encourage her to reach out to other professionals in the industry and learn from their experience.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the challenges I navigate is operating in a business world that can be male-dominated, as well as balancing the transition between wedding and hospitality work and large-scale corporate events. At the same time, I see real opportunity in being able to grow my own personal business while simultaneously gaining valuable corporate experience.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Hospitality and bringing people together are central to who I am, both professionally and personally. I place a high value on celebrating others and on supporting and mentoring other women and young professionals as they build their own careers.
