Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I have an incredible support system. My family, my friends, my colleagues truly believe that I can do anything I set my mind to. If I happen to fall down or doubt myself- I have their voices in my head to tell me to keep going. I'm also incredibly grateful to leaders that I've worked with that wanted to be my mentors and see me win both professionally and personally. Finding those leaders and teammates has made all the difference. I'm fortunate to have worked with companies that believe in investing in their sellers. I've been able to complete ValueSelling, John Barrows sales training, and MEDDPICC. I'm a member of GPA Midstream and I get to attend several conferences a year to stay current on industry standards and trends. On a day to day, I am working to break into new accounts, having meetings with existing clients on current projects, working on product upgrades, and meeting with different teams to position the right solutions. I work very closely with our products, marketing, solutions, services teams, I have an incredible BDR that helps sets meeting for me- we're very collaborative and so when I close a deal, it’s really a reflection of all of our hard work.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to introduce yourself to strangers and join programs and organizations within your field. You never know who you're going to meet. I've also learned that it's important to surround yourself with mentors and leaders that want to teach you how to be better and believe in your potential.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to build strong networks, be fearless in pursuing opportunities, and never underestimate the power of genuine, face-to-face interactions with customers.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I think the biggest challenges and opportunities go hand in hand. I think it's important and efficient to have virtual meetings, but I can't stress the importance and power of being face to face when doing business. I genuinely enjoy going onsite with customers and creating unique experiences. My wonderful customer success manager (and friend) organized a hike in Vegas at the Valley of Fire. We took a group of very brave clients on the rollercoaster at the New York New York hotel, shared meals together, Top Golf, comedy shows, etc. I feel grateful to have the support of my team and company to allow us to immerse ourselves in engaging experiences with clients.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Be authentic. I genuinely want to spend time and learn from people that are ambitious, kind, and humble. I recently went through my largest and most lengthy sales cycle and learned a lot though the incredible leadership and actions of my CRO. I am deeply inspired by learning and listening to women that have built incredible lives for themselves in the business world- specifically listening to Mel Robbins, Emma Grede, and Bethenny Frankel. These are all women that stuck to their gut, pushed through hard times, and believed in themselves. The values most important to me personally are compassion and service—giving back through my involvement with nonprofits like the Red Cross and animal advocacy programs keep me grounded and connected to my community. I've been in Texas a little over a year so I am looking forward to aligning my passions and getting involved with more Dallas based organizations.
