About Alyssa

Alyssa Weakley serves as Director of Contracting and Pricing, also referred to as Director of Value and Access, at Amgen within the rare disease business. In this role, she works to ensure patients gain access to therapies by securing payer coverage, managing reimbursement and pricing dynamics, and streamlining approval processes. With about 10 years of experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry, Weakley started on the government affairs side, working on Capitol Hill, in government affairs teams, at a Pharma Trade Association, and in consulting focused on policy impacts. She transitioned to the business side around 2019, joining Amgen where she has spent six years in value and access roles including value marketing, health system strategy, the employer team, and contracts and pricing. During this time, she has supported the launch of multiple products such as biosimilars, inflammation products, and rare disease therapies. Weakley earned a bachelor's degree in political science with a minor in business from George Washington University, where she gained practical experience through extensive internships, and later completed her Master's in Business Administration at UCLA with a focus on organizational development and leadership.
