Authentic leadership means being genuinely yourself while maintaining responsibility for your impact on others. It's about honest alignment between your values, words, and actions—not constant transparency, but consistent integrity.

Ten minutes with Amanda
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a genuine curiosity about people and organizations, a commitment to continuous learning, and a belief that growth happens when we invest in others. Throughout my career, I've remained willing to ask questions, challenge existing processes, and embrace opportunities that stretch me. I believe lasting success comes from building trust, developing people, and creating solutions that make a meaningful difference. To me, success is measured not only by the results we achieve, but by the confidence, growth, and opportunities we help create for others.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've ever received was to never let someone else's perception of my limitations define what's possible. A mentor encouraged me to trust my instincts, think bigger than I thought I was capable of, and pursue opportunities that challenged me. That advice changed how I approached my career and continues to influence how I lead—I strive to help others see their potential before they see it themselves.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't let self-doubt make decisions for you. There will be moments when you question whether you're ready or qualified enough, but growth rarely happens when we feel completely prepared. Stay curious, ask questions, seek mentors who challenge and support you, and don't be afraid to take on opportunities that stretch you. The confidence you're looking for often comes after you take the leap—not before.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
We're experiencing one of the most significant periods of workplace transformation in decades. Advances in technology, evolving employee expectations, and changing business needs are creating incredible opportunities for organizations to rethink how work gets done. The challenge isn't simply adopting new tools—it's helping people embrace change, develop new skills, and remain connected to a shared purpose. I believe leaders who can successfully balance innovation with empathy will shape the future of work.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide me most, both professionally and personally, are integrity, curiosity, continuous growth, and helping others succeed. I believe in treating people with respect, approaching challenges with an open mind, and leading with empathy and accountability. Whether I'm improving processes, developing leaders, or navigating change, my goal is always to leave people, teams, and organizations stronger than I found them. To me, success is defined not only by the results we achieve, but by the trust we build, the relationships we cultivate, and the opportunities we create for others to grow.
