About Amanda
Amanda Flynn is an accomplished dental industry professional with more than 30 years of experience spanning clinical dentistry, dental insurance, and provider network management. She began her career as a Registered Dental Hygienist after earning her Dental Hygiene degree from The University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she established a strong clinical foundation in patient care and oral health.
Raised in a family with longstanding ties to the dental profession, Amanda dedicated nearly three decades to clinical practice before transitioning into the insurance and network management sector of the industry. Her clinical expertise, combined with her strategic business acumen, has enabled her to successfully build and manage relationships with providers, dental groups, and executive leadership teams nationwide.
Amanda currently serves as a DSO Account Executive with GEHA Health within the Connection Dental Network, where she partners with large dental groups and Dental Service Organizations (DSOs) across the country. In this role, she leads comprehensive account management initiatives, including provider recruitment and retention, credentialing support, contract negotiations, fee schedule analysis, and strategic network development. She also represents GEHA at national conferences and industry events, strengthening organizational partnerships and advancing network growth initiatives.
Her professional focus is centered on cultivating long-term, trusted partnerships by delivering responsive service, operational insight, and strategic solutions tailored to the evolving needs of large dental organizations. Amanda’s ability to bridge clinical and administrative perspectives has made her a valued resource within the dental insurance and DSO landscape.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Amanda remains actively engaged in community service and volunteer initiatives, including her involvement with Sleep in Heavenly Peace, reflecting her continued commitment to leadership, service, and community impact.

01What do you attribute your success to?
Amanda attributes her success to hard work, determination, and the strong values she learned growing up around dentistry. With several family members in the profession, dentistry was always a part of her life, making her career path feel like a natural fit. From an early age, she developed a deep appreciation for the industry and the relationships built within it. That personal connection, combined with her passion for helping others and building meaningful partnerships, has remained at the heart of her career and continues to inspire the work she does today.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice Amanda has ever received is, “You’re stronger than you think you are.” That message has stayed with her throughout her career and continues to serve as a source of motivation during challenging times. It has encouraged her to persevere, adapt, and remain resilient through both personal and professional obstacles. She credits that mindset with helping her continue to grow, push forward, and never give up, regardless of the challenges she faces.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Amanda’s advice to young women entering the industry is simple: don’t stop and don’t give up. She believes it is incredibly important for women to recognize that they have just as much to offer as anyone else in the field. She encourages young professionals to remain confident, persistent, and respectful while continuing to pursue their goals with determination. Amanda believes that hard work, resilience, and believing in yourself can open doors to incredible opportunities — and that you should always aim for the stars.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Amanda believes one of the biggest challenges facing the dental industry today — particularly for DSOs and large dental groups — is navigating the complexities of dental networks and insurance relationships. At the same time, she sees this area as one of the industry’s greatest opportunities, especially within her role supporting DSOs nationwide.
As Dental Service Organizations and large group practices continue to become the fastest-growing segment of dentistry, Amanda recognizes significant opportunities for growth, leadership, and innovation within the space. She also believes this evolving landscape creates tremendous potential for women looking to build successful careers in dental leadership, operations, account management, and network development.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Character is one of the most important values to Amanda — without question. She strives to be known as someone who is dependable, hardworking, and true to her word. When people hear her name, she wants them to think of someone who follows through, works hard, and genuinely cares about others. Above all, Amanda believes in treating people with kindness, building meaningful relationships, and creating trust with every customer and professional partnership she develops.
