I attribute my success to the people who believed in me long before I reached many of my professional milestones. Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to have a strong network of mentors, colleagues, friends, and family who have challenged and encouraged me, especially during times when I questioned myself. Success is rarely achieved alone, and I believe every accomplishment is built on the support and guidance of others.

My parents instilled in me the values of hard work, perseverance, humility, and service. As I continued my education and career, mentors helped me see opportunities where I once saw obstacles and taught me to stay adaptable and keep growing. Their investment in me has inspired me to give back through mentorship and community service.

I’ve also learned that a closed door is not the end of the journey. Some opportunities didn’t work out as planned, but they often led me to paths that better aligned with my purpose. Setbacks, in many cases, have been opportunities in disguise. To me, success is not defined by titles or recognition, but by the lives we impact and the relationships we build. When we stay resilient, serve others, and surround ourselves with people who push us to grow, success becomes less about a destination and more about the positive influence we have along the way.

The best career advice I’ve received is simple: never stop learning. No matter your title or experience, there is always something new to discover and someone new to learn from.

I believe education goes far beyond degrees. While my academic journey provided a strong foundation, many of my most valuable lessons have come from mentors, colleagues, and real-world experiences. Staying open to learning allows you to grow with every challenge and opportunity.

Equally important is remaining teachable. Strong leaders listen, accept feedback, adapt to change, and understand that growth is ongoing. The most effective leaders are those who continue to evolve. As I’ve progressed in my career, I’ve also learned the importance of sharing knowledge. Whether through mentoring, teaching, or simply encouraging others, investing in the next generation strengthens both individuals and communities.

This mindset continues to guide me. I approach each opportunity with curiosity and strive to use what I learn to help others succeed. The most meaningful careers are built not just on personal achievements, but on how we empower others along the way.

My advice to women entering this field is to stay curious, remain teachable, and commit to lifelong learning. Don't be afraid to wear many hats or pursue opportunities outside your comfort zone. Some of the most valuable experiences come from embracing different roles, developing new skills, and discovering strengths you didn't know you had.

Seek out mentors who will challenge, encourage, and invest in your growth, but also look for opportunities to mentor others as your career progresses. Most importantly, support and uplift other women. There is room for all of us to succeed, and collaboration will always accomplish more than competition. When women share knowledge, celebrate one another's achievements, and open doors for those coming behind them, we create stronger organizations, stronger communities, and a lasting legacy of leadership.

One of the biggest challenges I believe many professionals face—especially women balancing multiple careers and leadership roles—is overcoming imposter syndrome. It can be easy to compare yourself to others or feel like you're always one step behind while trying to excel in different professions. Whether I'm serving as a nonprofit leader, educator, or Realtor, I've learned that growth is a continuous journey, and no one has all the answers.

Rather than viewing this as a limitation, I've learned to see it as one of my greatest opportunities. Balancing multiple careers and leadership roles has challenged me to become more adaptable, resilient, and intentional about my personal and professional development. Every day, I strive to learn something new so I can become a better director, educator, and Realtor. I don't believe success comes from knowing everything—it comes from remaining curious, asking questions, seeking mentorship, and embracing every opportunity to grow.

The industries I serve are constantly evolving, and that's what makes them exciting. The greatest opportunity is to embrace lifelong learning, remain adaptable, and recognize that every new experience contributes to becoming a stronger leader. For me, success isn't about perfection; it's about making meaningful progress each day while continuing to serve others with excellence, integrity, and purpose.

The values that guide both my personal and professional life are faith, integrity, and family. My faith serves as the foundation for every decision I make. It reminds me to lead with compassion, approach challenges with humility, and remain grounded in the understanding that my work is ultimately about serving others. Whether I'm leading a nonprofit initiative, teaching in the classroom, or helping clients navigate the homebuying process, I strive to reflect those values in the way I treat people and the choices I make.

Integrity is equally important to me. I believe your reputation is built over a lifetime and can be defined by the decisions you make when no one is watching. I've always believed in doing what is right, even when it's not the easiest or most convenient path. I never want to shortchange someone or compromise my values for personal gain. At the end of the day, I want to be able to look in the mirror knowing I treated others fairly, acted honestly, and gave my very best effort.

Finally, I deeply value my family. They have been my greatest source of encouragement, perspective, and strength throughout every stage of my career. No professional accomplishment compares to the relationships we build with those we love. My family continually reminds me why I work so hard and keeps me grounded in what truly matters. Together, faith, integrity, and family are the principles that shape my leadership, influence my decisions, and define the legacy I hope to leave behind.
