Ten minutes with Amanda
01What do you attribute your success to?
Mentorship and leaders encouraging me to pursue more.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Never stop learning. Healthcare will always continue to change.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
“Never turn down an opportunity to learn something new. The majority of my career experience came from always saying yes. Healthcare needs compassionate, capable women who are willing to speak up, advocate for patients, and continue learning every day. Never underestimate the value of your voice, your work ethic, or your ability to make an impact. Stay teachable, stay professional, and remember that kindness and strength can exist together. Build relationships, ask questions, seek mentors, and never stop growing — because the best nurses and healthcare leaders are the ones who combine skill with heart.”
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
“One of the biggest challenges — and greatest opportunities — in healthcare today is the rise of AI and rapidly changing technology. While innovation can improve efficiency, patient outcomes, and access to care, it also requires healthcare professionals to adapt, think critically, and remain focused on the human side of medicine. The future of healthcare will belong to those who are willing to be creative, think outside the box, and embrace new solutions while still leading with compassion and integrity. Progress happens when we are open to learning, collaboration, and finding innovative ways to solve complex problems.”
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty, work ethic and accountability are important to me professionally and personally.
