About Amanda
Amanda Lance is a coach and the founder of MuseCoaching.com, based in Hackettstown, New Jersey. With nearly 20 years of experience across education, management, caregiving, and coaching, Amanda specializes in grief support, family crisis intervention, and caregiver transition. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Eastern University in 2003 and began her career working in Montessori education, sales, and management. Her own experience as a full-time caregiver for her mother became a defining chapter in her life and ultimately inspired her transition into online coaching, where she now helps others navigate seasons of loss, family crisis, and changing caregiver roles.
Amanda’s approach to coaching is deeply rooted in faith, compassion, resilience, and service. Drawing from her personal experiences with loss and caregiver role reversal, she strives to be a steady and supportive presence for individuals and families facing difficult transitions. She is also committed to making support more accessible, partnering with local faith-based organizations and recovery missions to provide community-based and no-cost programs. Her work reflects her belief that technology can broaden access to meaningful support while emphasizing the importance of genuine human connection. Amanda credits her success to her faith, her mother’s strength and example, the support of her family, and the lessons she has gained throughout her own journey.
Outside of her professional work, Amanda values time with her family, enjoys ballet, and remains actively involved in her community. She volunteers with a local church grief Bible study and a missions group supporting women in home recovery. In 2026, she was selected to be featured by Influential Women, representing Hackettstown, New Jersey, in the field of coaching. Looking ahead, Amanda encourages young women entering the industry to pursue certification, embrace digital tools, and focus on being present for others. For Amanda, true success is measured not only by professional achievement, but by faith, family, service, and the ability to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Amanda
01What do you attribute your success to?
Faith is everything to me. It's my main lifeline and source, God. My mom's strength and family support also helped, along with my own experiences going through caregiving and loss. There's no line between professionalism, inner strength, helping others, and faith.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
If they have some sort of certification, opportunities are everywhere especially with digital tools at their fingertips. Put all your energy into being there for others as that builds both professionally and character. Use every platform you can in a digital way to help people since everything is accessible now.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Opportunities are vast in coaching especially crisis family intervention, recovery missions, and helping with issues like eating disorders that media accessibility brings. Young women with drive can support in many areas because everything is at your fingertips.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Always having that life-family work balance. Family support is very important. If you have even one solid colleague or sister-like voice, you can do both and make choices without regret.
