McCall Law Group, PLLC
Frisco, TX 75034

Amanda McCall is the owner and lead attorney of McCall Law Group, PLLC, which she opened approximately 14 months ago. Prior to founding her firm, she spent the first four years of her legal career at a boutique law firm practicing exclusively family law. Opening her own firm was always her goal, but she first sought the experience, mentorship, and collaboration of a team environment to establish a strong foundation. Today, Amanda practices primarily family law and also handles real estate matters, dedicating herself to providing compassionate, high-quality legal representation. As the sole attorney and owner, she manages all aspects of her practice from court appearances and client meetings to emails, casework, and administrative operations ensuring each client receives strategic and personalized support.

In addition to her legal practice, Amanda serves as Co-Owner and Project Manager at 2M Development Group, LLC, a family-owned land development company in North Texas. She specializes in transforming raw land into valuable real estate assets, guiding projects through every stage of development. Her combination of legal expertise and hands-on project management allows her to collaborate effectively with investors, engineers, contractors, and builders, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and successfully.

Amanda earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Pepperdine University School of Law, where she served as Executive Editor of the Dispute Resolution Law Journal and earned a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Strategic Communication with a minor in Business from Texas Christian University. Outside of her professional work, Amanda enjoys golfing, running, snow skiing, wakeboarding, and spending time with friends and family, embracing a well-rounded lifestyle rooted in focus, dedication, and balance.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I definitely attribute my success to my family and my upbringing. Everything is contributed to them. My grandparents and my parents both have been extremely influential on me, just shaping me as I am as a person, instilling all of those values in me, as well as instilling a work ethic and providing me all the opportunities that I have had with education, and really just shaping me to becoming who I am today. My mom and my grandpa have been my biggest mentors and support systems, helping me out with career advice, but also being there for emotional support as well. They have really gotten me through, celebrating the good times and being there in the hard times, and just offering support both from a professional standpoint as well as from an emotional standpoint.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I've received would probably be to really find something that I'm passionate about, because that is just going to drive your work quality and your work ethic. If this is something that I'm really passionate about and feel in my heart deeply that I want to make a change and make an impact through my career, then that is going to obviously reflect the quality of my work and my work ethic. That passion is what fuels everything I do.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would say take the time that you need to discern whether this is a path that you really want to go down. A lot of people have the notion that being an attorney is glamorous and you have this advanced degree and whatnot, but it is a grind, it is a lot of work, it is long hours, it's very taxing, it's very emotional. So I would say first to really, really take the time that they need in order to discern that this is their true passion, their true calling. And if it is, to just jump in and put the time in, put the work in, and keep at it, because it will pay off, it will all come together, but there's going to be some really, really hard days.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge I've faced is going out on my own and opening my own practice, which has come with a huge learning curve. Really learning how to balance everything - maintaining cases and still providing my clients with the quality of representation, as well as balancing just everything else that comes with owning your own business. That has really tested me and been a challenge, but also been something that's very fun and I'm working to overcome and succeed in. As for opportunities, I have just been extremely blessed with the people that I have met in my career. The people that have just been placed in my path, whether it be mentors, various experts, people to offer resources here and there. Making connections for purposes of clients and meeting people that just happen to need this or that, or know someone who has an issue that I can assist with. I've just been extremely blessed in being placed on the path to meet the people that I need to meet in order to be successful in my career.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are definitely honesty, integrity, and a hard, solid work ethic. Especially in my practice, I really try to value my clients, value their opinions, and take everything into consideration. I strive to be an advocate for them, be a voice for them, and be compassionate and understanding, as well as that advocate that they need in whatever legal issue that they're experiencing. Being able to provide that level of advocacy, understanding, and support is central to everything I do.
