Amanda Moore

Amanda Moore serves as Executive Director in the senior living industry, representing Akron, Ohio. With about 20 years in the field, she began her career after stepping out of college to raise her family, putting herself through trade school to become a licensed practical nurse via a program at Kent State in Ohio. She earned additional certifications in dementia care and became a Certified Dementia Practitioner. Approximately 15 years ago, she advanced into leadership as Director of Nursing in assisted living communities, building recognition for quality care and advocacy. Over the past 10 years, she has focused on operations, managing directors of nursing and executive leadership teams to run successful communities. Her passion for addressing shortcomings in senior healthcare, including ageism and access for those unable to afford traditional assisted living, led her to her current role at a new company in Ohio that has helped hundreds since April. She also volunteers with local city government, working closely with the mayor, and is committed to educating and building future leaders in the industry.
