Her Story
About Amanda
I have been in education for 10 years, currently serving as a District Lead teacher for the past 8 years while also teaching in the classroom. I earned my master's degree in educational leadership, which helped me advance from department head to district lead. I am finishing my doctoral degree in education this summer and have maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout. I created a dual enrollment program at my high school to help students pursue teaching careers and have mentored students to achieve significant scholarships, such as one student receiving $76,000 to the Art Institute of Chicago.
