Her Interview
Ten minutes with Amanda
01What do you attribute your success to?
I am just a very disciplined by nature type of person, very Type A. I did come from a very humble upbringing, and I think that's a lot of people's stories - just not having the things that you want. Especially with the work ethic that was instilled in me at such a young age, like, you go get it yourself. It's not going to be handed to you. I think that's where my drive stems from.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Just do it. I actually have that saying tattooed on myself - do it anyways. Sure, it might be scary. Sure, you might fail. I'm sure there's uncertainty. Do it anyway. Be very open-minded to learning new things. I naturally have a thirst and a hunger for knowledge, so starting a completely different field with no education - but I did it anyway.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Being a woman in a male-prevalent field can come with initial bias or judgment, but it also creates a powerful opportunity to stand out through relationship-building, education, and expertise. By leading with initiatives like CE classes and visible representation, I’ve been able to turn that challenge into a strength that adds value for clients and partners.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are discipline, a strong work ethic, resilience, prioritizing quality of life, and building authentic relationships.
