Ten minutes with Amanda

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to being independent and determined, knowing that I can do whatever I want as long as I work hard and put forth the effort. Self-belief is key, and maintaining confidence and determination even when life knocks you down helps me move forward.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Believe in yourself, stay determined, and don't be afraid to pursue opportunities that can move you forward.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't ever feel that you are not good enough for the role or position that you want. If you want it, go for it. I was told many times that I can't do things, and that just determines me more to do it.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest personal challenge is patience because I'm excited and ready to move up and face new challenges. There are significant opportunities for women to advance to district and regional levels in retail where women are underrepresented.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in both my professional and personal life are strength, integrity, perseverance, independence, determination, and self-belief. I believe in staying true to myself, maintaining high standards of honesty and integrity, and never giving up when faced with challenges. I strive to continually improve, reminding myself that I am capable of achieving more and doing better. Above all, I value my family, personal growth, and the perseverance to keep moving forward with confidence and purpose.
