What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the mentors and strong teams who have shaped my growth, as well as a steady progression through hands-on roles that allowed me to build practical experience. My strong work ethic has also played a key role in helping me stay focused, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would advise young women entering my industry to not be afraid to take risks or speak up, even when stepping into leadership roles feels intimidating. Trust your judgment, take chances on yourself and others, and understand that mistakes are part of growth and can always be learned from. We need more women in leadership, and I encourage women to confidently bring their perspectives to the table, lead with empathy, and help shape more inclusive and impactful organizations.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenges in my field include balancing the needs of hourly associates, customer satisfaction, and financial performance across multiple properties, while also ensuring consistent service quality. There is also an ongoing need to better recognize and value the essential work of housekeepers, whose contributions are often overlooked but vital to the guest experience. At the same time, there is a strong opportunity to increase women’s representation in senior leadership by creating clearer pathways for advancement and fostering more inclusive leadership teams.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are compassion for employees and their families, humility, and a strong dedication to doing the job well. I also prioritize balancing performance with people, ensuring that results are achieved in a way that respects and supports those involved.
