Her Story

About Amanda

Amanda Richardson is a healthcare leader who believes that the most impactful leadership isn’t measured solely by results—it’s measured by the people you inspire, develop, and empower along the way.

As a Market Manager, Amanda leads multidisciplinary clinical teams dedicated to improving the lives of patients with complex chronic conditions. She is passionate about building cultures rooted in trust, accountability, collaboration, and compassion, believing that when leaders invest in their people, exceptional patient care naturally follows. Her leadership style focuses on removing barriers, fostering innovation, and helping individuals recognize strengths they may not yet see in themselves.

Beyond her professional role, Amanda is deeply committed to developing future leaders within her community. As a Girl Scout Service Unit Manager, she mentors girls and adult volunteers, creating opportunities that encourage confidence, resilience, and servant leadership. She believes leadership begins long before a title is earned and that investing in the next generation creates a lasting ripple effect.

Balancing a demanding career with motherhood has shaped Amanda’s perspective on leadership. She understands that success is not about perfection but about showing up with authenticity, empathy, and purpose. Whether leading a healthcare team, organizing community initiatives, or cheering on her children, she strives to demonstrate that strong leadership and genuine kindness can—and should—coexist.

Amanda is passionate about helping redefine what leadership looks like for women. She advocates for leading with integrity over ego, collaboration over competition, and service over status. Her mission is to create environments where people feel valued, supported, and empowered to become the best version of themselves.

Her hope is that every woman recognizes her ability to influence others—not because of the position she holds, but because of the example she sets every day.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Amanda

01What do you attribute your success to?

It's been a combination of family support, being driven to have the balance where I'm able to do something that I am passionate and aligned with, finding a company that has values that are similar to my own, and also being able to separate work and life and taking the time to reset and recharge with my family and my children.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Lead with confidence and compassion. You don't always have to be the strongest voice in the room, but being a strong support goes a long way. Really try to collaborate and not compete with ideas, and take a step back to look at the perspective from multiple parties.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Make sure that you are in a space that you feel supported and inspired to go to work every day. Never be afraid to seek guidance and assistance. Be passionate, be inspired, and go into it knowing that you're never going to know it all. There's always an opportunity and every day is a new chance.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

It varies based on the setting. There's no clear-cut defined way to answer that since there are so many avenues in healthcare for nursing. It's a field that is continuously evolving, and offers a reliable career.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I always aim to leave the patients that I've served, the teams that I've worked with, and the communities that I'm involved in, stronger than when I first approached them. Whether that be offering additional support, helping in their health journeys, elevating my team to help them identify and build confidence, and always trying to make things a little bit better for people.
