About Amanda

Amanda SaintCloud serves as a medical practice manager for primary care, a position she has held for four years. With six and a half to seven years in healthcare management, she manages day-to-day operations of the medical practice, including patient intake, staff supervision, provider schedules, notes, and billing to deliver quality care. Amanda earned a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in healthcare administration. Her only certification is as a certified notary public. She volunteers with The Sharing Shelf, an organization she discovered through her church, participating in fundraisers and organizing events. Amanda attributes her success to her mother, who worked in healthcare, and to a patient she assisted as a receptionist whose gratitude highlighted the impact of administrative support. She values empathy, agility, and understanding in both her professional and personal life. The best career advice she received is to be her own advocate and never sell herself short. Amanda advises young women entering the field that it is acceptable to be empathetic, as it is essential for the role. She notes challenges in achieving desired patient outcomes but sees opportunities in the growing healthcare market and resources in Fairfield County.
