About Amanda
Amanda Seabolt serves as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and practice owner. Along with her husband, she owns Maverick Mental Health in Sylvania, Ohio. Seabolt has worked in nursing since 2013 and has been in her current role for nearly two years. Her educational background includes a bachelor's degree in biological sciences earned in 2009, a master's degree in public health and a graduate certificate in gerontological sciences both completed in 2010, a master's degree in nursing from 2013, a PhD in education from 2018, and a master's degree in psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from 2024. She is board certified by the AANC and is finishing a year-long fellowship in integrative psychiatry in December 2026. Seabolt attributes her success to strong ethics and a genuine commitment to treating clients as individuals rather than numbers. She values honesty, integrity, and loyalty in both her personal and professional life. Seabolt advises others to do what they love and to find their passion, which often leads to finding their purpose. She and her team focus on providing quality care in a field where there is a shortage of dedicated providers.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I think just our ethics, right? We ethics. We just really care about people, and we just treat everyone as human beings, as opposed to just a number or just a paycheck, right?
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Do what you love, and you'll never work a day in your life.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Find your passion. Finding your passion often leads to finding your purpose.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
There's not enough quality providers. Patients are just like a number for providers. So we try really hard not to do that. We try really hard to let each client know that they really matter and that they are important to us.
