Amanda Shoemaker

Amanda Shoemaker serves as director of PML under Platform Cloud at a hosting company in the IT and telecommunications sector. The company was previously known as Liquid Web and has been rebranded to Nexus. She has accumulated 10 years of experience in the field as of October. Shoemaker began her career right out of college in a temporary role assisting with the company's first acquisition and transition. She advanced into a technical role on the migrations team while taking on project management responsibilities, including bridging communication gaps, leading training, and developing internal tools. She later managed a team of roughly 20 members handling customer migrations during a major company acquisition. Shoemaker progressed to a project manager 2 role on the PMO team, overseeing cross-functional projects. In 2021, she earned her PMP certification and advanced to program manager. She was recently promoted to her current director position amid organizational changes and the company rebrand. She holds a dual bachelor's degree in Theology and Communications from Great Lakes Christian College, where she also studied communications and enterprise organizational management. Shoemaker is a member of PMI and attends their yearly global events to network and stay current in her field.
