Her Interview

Ten minutes with Amanda

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the challenge in supply chain, being ambitious in overcoming unknowns, going rogue with storytelling through reports, being resourceful and innovative, and thriving when uncomfortable by thinking critically outside the box.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

My hiring manager at Klein Tools was an incredible mentor who showed grace and integrity in a male-dominated industry, demonstrating effective communication, emotional resilience, and leadership in handling challenging conversations about process changes while working remotely.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Maintain professional composure and approach difficult situations with grace and integrity, especially in male-dominated fields; express passion but step back when needed to avoid being labeled too emotional.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge is AI potentially replacing human roles in data formatting and supply planning; companies are collecting data via internal chat GPT systems but haven't figured out how to utilize it effectively yet, creating uncertainty about job security.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Bringing humanity to the workplace by having personal conversations with new colleagues first to build trust and teamwork, connecting beyond work responsibilities, and showing we are looking out for one another.
