Amanda West
Amanda West is the Managing Director of M2IQ, where she leads the strategic and operational direction of a physician group specializing in Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs) for insurance carriers, legal firms, and third-party administrators. In her role, Amanda bridges clinical expertise with business leadership, overseeing physician recruitment, credentialing, performance management, and quality assurance. She also develops growth strategies, implements technology solutions, and ensures that all operations comply with legal, regulatory, and medical standards. Under her leadership, M2IQ has grown into a profitable enterprise by adding ENT and Orthopedic evaluations to the current practice. Providing essential disability evaluations for injured claimants worldwide. Prior to joining M2IQ, Amanda dedicated over 20 years to oncology at Texas Oncology, specializing in radiation therapy and serving as Chief Manager of the radiation and diagnostic department. There, she managed a multidisciplinary team of physicians, physicists, and healthcare providers, ensuring high-quality patient care while maintaining rigorous credentialing standards. Her extensive experience in clinical management and operational oversight laid the foundation for her successful transition to leading a healthcare-focused startup. Amanda attributes her success to a strong personal drive, intellectual curiosity, and a commitment to continuous growth. A graduate of Texas State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Science specializing in Radiation Therapy. She has pursued additional certifications in CT imaging while maintaining her oncology license. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Amanda is deeply involved in her faith and community, actively supporting North Point Church and contributing to initiatives that foster inclusion and connection. She also encourages young women entering the workforce to pursue skills and certifications that make them indispensable in an ever-changing professional landscape.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a drive I’ve had since childhood to challenge myself and be recognized for my abilities. Even early on, I set high standards, working hard to achieve goals and stand out. That mindset—of discipline, perseverance, and striving for excellence—has guided me throughout my personal and professional life.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
One of the funniest quotes was from my Practice Administrator when I was probably 24-25 years old. She said “I run my practice like I run my house. I know everything about everyone, I know the job they should be doing, and I know where every penny goes.” Thought is was funny at the time and her way of not paying me more, but as I got older, the quote stands true.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to stay curious, remain technically engaged, and focus on building a strong foundation in your field. Keep your long-term goals in mind, test ideas early, and don’t be afraid to take calculated risks. Most importantly, believe in your abilities, hold yourself to high standards, and let your work speak for you.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenges I see in healthcare is finding employees who hold strong work ethics that want to grow and that can provide longevity support. It is very hard to keep employees long term, and it is a lot of resources and time to train them.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I have so many things that I value, that it is hard to limit which ones are the most important. If I had to put all values in a box, I would label the box Quality. Quality time, Quality Care, Quality Conversations; all things I value can be defined by Quality.
