About Amber
Amber Dixon brings approximately 2 years of experience in communications, with a longstanding concentration in public health. Her career has included roles supporting federal and state agencies, beginning with general public health efforts at NIH offices and progressing to specialized work with older adults, multicultural populations, and disaster management. She has addressed a range of issues including sports-related health for young adults, diabetes, prediabetes, sepsis, and during the pandemic, overdose prevention and the opioid crisis. Currently, Amber serves as a stay-at-home mom and caretaker, with her focus having shifted to family caregiving. Outside of her primary role, she lends professional services to the Lions Club and has volunteered with the local nonprofit HERE Center in the past. Amber takes pride in her ability to identify efficiencies in workflows, often described as change management, which helps clients achieve desired results more effectively. She is now exploring opportunities to re-enter the workforce, with particular interest in how artificial intelligence can intersect with her background.
