What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the diverse path my career has taken—from sales to executive recruiting, consulting, and entrepreneurship. Each experience has shaped me into a strategic listener and problem solver, committed to helping others thrive. I’m driven by a curiosity about what motivates people and how the right opportunities can transform both careers and organizations, which guides the work I do in my own consulting and recruiting firm.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to don’t chase the job — chase the impact. Early in my career, I was focused on titles and promotions, but I learned that true fulfillment comes from the difference you make, the people you help, and the systems you build. Another lesson that has stuck with me is: “You can have it all — just not all at once,” which taught me patience and the importance of aligning each season of work with my values. Together, these lessons guide me to lead with purpose, empathy, and focus on meaningful impact.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
The advice I’d give to young women entering my industry is to follow the work that fulfills you, not just the work that finds you. Your path doesn’t have to be linear — some of the best moves I’ve made didn’t make perfect sense at the time, but they shaped who I wanted to become. Don’t wait for permission to grow; take on challenges that stretch you, even if they scare you a little. And always focus on building genuine relationships — meaningful opportunities come from trust and connection, not just a résumé.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Both sales and recruiting are ever changing roles with AI impacting the way we work. Adapting to the nuances of our new experience as a business and consumer will remain challenging as we all learn together.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide me are empathy, adaptability, and impact. I focus on truly listening to leaders and teams, collaborating to solve complex challenges, and creating strategies that drive meaningful results. My journey—from science to business and remote leadership—has taught me resilience and the importance of reinvention. Beyond work, I give back through organizations that empower women and support children’s health, believing that success is measured by the positive impact we make.
