She began her professional journey with aspirations of becoming a teacher but pivoted after becoming pregnant during college, earning a degree in business administration from King's University in Bristol, Tennessee, through its non-traditional program that allowed her to work full time while supporting her family. Starting in accounting at her company, she progressed through purchasing and payroll roles, gaining exposure to human resources, before moving into HR and ultimately finding her niche in talent acquisition and talent management.
