Her Interview

Ten minutes with Amber

01What do you attribute your success to?

I would say just hard work. Dedication. Mainly staying focused, and that's about it.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Best advice I've received is honestly never give up. It definitely ain't always hard and bad. One of my mentors told me believe nothing you hear and half of what you see.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

It gets easier. It definitely gets easier, and don't give up. This career path is a win-win.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Challenges include evictions, unfortunately putting a family out of their home and children, and trying to help them settle their debts so they can find more housing. Opportunities are to grow within the company and advance, potentially becoming a regional district manager where I'm over multiple properties.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Compassion. It's a very rewarding job especially with the affordable side. I've literally seen homeless people on the side of the road and when I see them I have applications to my property and since it's based on income I always tell them apply, it's not gonna hurt. I absolutely love what I do.
