About Amber

Originally born in Gretna, Louisiana, Amber is a natural social butterfly with a deeply personable approach, and she has made relationship-building the cornerstone of her career. She believes the most successful professionals are those who truly care about the people they serve, focusing not just on transactions, but on helping clients make informed and meaningful decisions.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Amber finds her greatest joy in her family. She adores spending time with her three children, Abigail (21), Connor (16), and Michael (7), who continue to inspire her drive to grow, succeed, and build a meaningful legacy.

Ten minutes with Amber

01What do you attribute your success to?

Amber McCoy attributes much of her drive and success to her grandmother, Linda, whose resilience and work ethic left a lasting impact on her life. After spending years working hard and overcoming many personal challenges, Linda made the bold decision later in life to return to school and earn her nursing license. Watching her grandmother persevere and continue striving for more instilled in Amber the values she carries today—determination, adaptability, and the belief that growth is always possible. That example of strength and perseverance continues to inspire Amber in both her career and her life. ✨

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever followed is: build relationships, not just results. Numbers may measure success, but relationships are what truly sustain it.

Also, know that it is never too late to grow into the person you’re meant to become. Watching my grandmother go back to school later in life to earn her nursing license showed me that determination and hard work can open doors at any stage in life.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to younger women is to believe in your voice and your value. These industries can be competitive, but confidence, consistency, and a willingness to learn will take you farther than you realize. Don’t be afraid to take up space and pursue opportunities that push you to grow. Lead with authenticity and never underestimate the power of relationships. Skills can be learned, but genuine connection and integrity will always set you apart. When you truly care about the people you’re helping, success becomes a natural result of the trust you build.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in business development, sales, and real estate is keeping up with how quickly the market evolves. Trends, financial landscapes, and client needs are constantly changing, and staying informed is essential. Because my work often involves financial wellness and decisions that impact people’s well-being, it’s important to stay ahead of those shifts. If you’re not keeping up with the market, you can’t effectively serve your clients. It takes dedication and continuous learning, but showing up prepared and committed is what allows you to keep moving forward and deliver real value.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

My values in both my professional and personal life are deeply rooted in the example I want to set for my children, Abigail (22) Connor (17) and Michael (7). They are my greatest motivation and the reason I strive to work hard, continue growing, and lead with integrity in everything I do. I believe in showing them that success comes from perseverance, genuine care for others, and the willingness to keep learning and improving. Whether I’m building relationships with clients or spending time with my family, the values remain the same—work hard, treat people with kindness and respect, and never stop pushing yourself to become better. Everything I do professionally is ultimately about building a life and legacy that my children can be proud of. ✨
