Her Story
About Amber
My journey in wellness began 26 years ago through my own healing experience, which was serendipitous and felt like destiny. I gathered the healing modalities that worked for me and trained with many other people to create a combination approach. I do sound healing and incorporate the Biomat, which is a healing tool I've used myself since 2004 for 22 years. It healed me, and then I brought it to the world and shared it with thousands of people, because if it gave me a healing, I wanted everyone else to have a chance too. I studied biotuning at the Neuroacoustic Research Foundation a long time ago, and now I have my Light and Sound Spa here in Santa Cruz where I offer biotuning. The combination of the biomat and biotuning is the number one way to down-regulate your nervous system, and I found that by doing that every day, I could actually really heal and shift. I still use it daily just to navigate the world. Beyond my spa work, I built a global sales team selling the biomat and opened Australia, brought it to museums, and brought it to Europe. Growing up in Silicon Valley, I watched everything happen pre-Google and learned that if you make it up, you can do it. I wanted to travel and have time freedom, and I knew I wanted to have a baby and be around for him, so he was my motivation to build passive income before he was born. That income allowed me to live all over the world with my son from when he was young until he was older.

Ten minutes with Amber
01What do you attribute your success to?
I just help people. I just go out and give, you know? I feel like I just know it goes around, comes around, and I've shared with many people, and I don't share to get, I share to give. Service is just part of my values. I also think growing up in Silicon Valley and watching everything happen pre-Google taught me that if you make it up, you can do it. That's my other number one thing that's kept me going. I really like to travel and have time freedom, and I knew I wanted to have a baby and be around for him. He was my motivation to build passive income before he was born, and I was able to live all over the world with that income from while he was young till he was older. I think following your heart is key. Don't just follow business, let business follow you. Everywhere I went when I would sell was where I wanted to go for me, for my soul. I would go, and then I would just share.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Find what works for you and just be authentically genuine in that. Make sure to take care of yourself first. I didn't know that, but in reality, we need to take care of ourselves first. Find something that you really resonate with, because if you're gonna hang out with people and be with something, you might as well love it. So be real, like, choose something that you feel really good about or provide. Figure out how you want to be with people, and then design it from there, so that you're getting what you need to. Find the crew that lights you up. That's the secret to success. Don't just follow business, let business follow you. Follow your heart.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
It's finally becoming mainstream! I'm seeing people don't want to drink and get wasted, they want to go on a holiday and come back better or something, and so I think wellness is booming, and it's getting bigger and bigger and bigger, because everyone is so stressed out. Also, people love to monitor themselves now with all these trackers. People can track themselves now with all these trackers.
