About Amber

Amber Naiduk is the Senior Director of Business Development and Marketing at her agency in the digital marketing space. She transitioned into this role after five years in digital recruitment marketing and was promoted from account manager prior to the company's acquisition. Her responsibilities include identifying potential clients, conducting sales calls, meeting with current clients to assess campaign performance, and building relationships through in-person meetings and lunches. Naiduk earned a BA in English with a minor in Music Theater from Rutgers. She attributes her professional success to the example set by her parents, particularly her father's blue-collar work ethic that instilled the values of hard work and self-reliance. In her field, she identifies the rapid rise of AI as a major challenge requiring quick adaptation and increased competitiveness. Naiduk advises young women entering the industry to work hard, think outside the box, leverage their strengths, and continuously educate themselves through reading. She values integrity and loyalty above all, ensuring her moral compass remains true. Outside of work, she performs in three to four community theater productions annually, including one benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Amber

01What do you attribute your success to?

I think just watching both of my parents work very hard my whole life. My dad was a blue-collar worker, so he just taught me the value of hard work, the value of a dollar, and that if I wanted anything in life, that I would have to work for it and not rely on anyone else to do the work for me. So I think that my parents were definitely very influential.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice would be to just keep competing against yourself. Don't look to the left and the right of what other people are doing. Just stay focused, and just strive to be better than you were yesterday.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Work hard, try to think outside the box. Again, don't do what other people are doing. Use your strengths, don't focus on your weaknesses, and just really read as much as you possibly can about digital advertising, multi-location advertising, and whatever your niche is. Continue to educate yourself. Don't ever stop learning.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I think that AI is definitely kind of taking over. It's making the industry extremely competitive, and everyone just kind of has to pivot. It's not the world that we lived in 20 years ago, or even 5 years ago. I think the world is changing very rapidly, and we have to adapt to that at a very fast pace. I think that's the biggest challenge.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Definitely, integrity and loyalty are two big ones for me. So just everything that you do, make sure your moral compass is pointing north, and stay true to yourself, stay true to other people.
