Her Story

About Amber Rae

Amber Rae Patterson is a certified life coach and motivational speaker based in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she has served clients professionally since 2017 as the Founder and CEO of R.E.V.A.M.P. Inc. For more than two decades, she has mentored and uplifted hundreds of individuals, including children, teens, and adults, partnering with schools, churches, and community organizations to inspire personal growth. A high school graduate who pursued studies at Indiana University Indianapolis in Social Work and at Ivy Tech Community College in Early Childhood Education and Teaching, Patterson built her expertise not through a traditional academic path but through lived experience, resilience, and unwavering faith.

As a widow and single mother, Patterson draws directly from her own journey of overcoming loss to help others reframe their setbacks as stepping stones toward purpose. The passing of her father left a lasting impression on her, teaching her that unfulfilled dreams are among life's greatest tragedies, and that conviction fuels her mission to help others pursue their goals before it's too late. Known for her candid, story-driven approach, she leads workshops, speaking engagements, and coaching sessions designed to guide people through major life transitions, encouraging them to keep pushing forward even in their most difficult moments, trusting that a breakthrough awaits on the other side.

Beyond her professional work, Patterson remains deeply rooted in service and community. She is active in church outreach efforts supporting the homeless, volunteers with animal rescue through Indianapolis Animal Control, and serves as a youth leader who enjoys spending time with the children she mentors. A devoted mother, she prioritizes family time with her own children through everyday moments like barbecues, park outings, and travel. Her mission through R.E.V.A.M.P. Inc. reflects this same spirit: restoring, empowering, and encouraging others to live abundant, purpose-driven lives through health, education, and motivational inspiration.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Amber Rae

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the Lord. As a child, I dreamed of becoming a singer like Whitney Houston, but losing my father changed my perspective on life. Through that loss, I learned that the richest land in the world is the grave, because so many people pass away without ever starting the business, writing the book, or creating the song they always wanted to. That realization is what drives me. I refuse to leave this earth the way my father did, without pursuing and achieving the things he truly wanted in life.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

No matter how difficult it gets, you have to push through it, climb through it, swim through it, dig through it, and keep going. On the other side of every storm is your rainbow, but if you give up too soon, you'll never reach it.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Faith and worship are central to who I am, I love singing and performing at church. I serve as a youth leader and enjoy spending time with the kids in my community, even though I sometimes joke that I'm one of the biggest kids myself. Family means everything to me as well. I cherish the time I spend with my own children, whether we're having barbecues, visiting the park, traveling, or simply enjoying everything our city has to offer together.
