About Amel
Dr. Amel Hassan is an accomplished implant dentist, entrepreneur, and healthcare leader with more than 21 years of experience dedicated to advancing patient care and clinical excellence. After earning her initial dental degree abroad in 2004, she relocated to the United States, where she completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at New York University College of Dentistry in 2014, graduating with honors as a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. Since 2017, she has specialized exclusively in implant dentistry, focusing on complex surgical procedures, full-mouth rehabilitation, and implant-supported restorations. Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Hassan has established herself as a respected mentor, educator, and leadership advocate within the dental profession. She completed Harvard Medical School's Safety, Quality, Informatics and Leadership program and further refined her leadership skills through Oxford University's Women's Leadership Development Programme. Following advanced training at Implant Pathway in Arizona, she became a mentor for the organization, helping train the next generation of implant dentists. She also mentors with Zest Dental Solutions and serves as Secretary of the Southern District of the American Board of Implant Dentistry while remaining actively involved with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. A sought-after speaker, Dr. Hassan frequently shares her expertise on leadership, multi-site practice management, resilience, and the future of implant dentistry at national conferences.
Driven by determination, lifelong learning, and a passion for transforming lives, Dr. Hassan believes that success is measured not only by professional accomplishments but also by the journey of personal growth. She is deeply committed to restoring patients' confidence and quality of life through advanced implant dentistry while building high-performing, collaborative teams. Outside of her professional responsibilities, she enjoys traveling internationally, exploring different cultures, and visiting family in Dubai. She also treasures her nightly tea ritual—a quiet moment of reflection that allows her to recharge, think creatively, and remain grounded as a leader, mentor, and business owner.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Amel
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to setting clear goals and staying focused on achieving them, while recognizing that the greatest value lies in the journey and the person I become along the way. My passion for my career drives me to continuously grow, and I have always approached challenges with determination and resilience. I don't easily accept "no" as a final answer; instead, I see obstacles as opportunities to find another path forward. The experiences I've gained, the lessons I've learned, and my unwavering commitment to my goals have all played a significant role in shaping my success.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is building strong, cohesive teams that can work together effectively despite having different personalities, communication styles, and skill sets. While diversity of thought and experience is a significant strength, aligning everyone toward shared goals requires intentional collaboration, mutual respect, and open communication. At the same time, this presents a valuable opportunity to foster an inclusive team culture where individual strengths are recognized, collaboration thrives, and everyone works in harmony to achieve collective success.
