Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to stable and supportive parents, discipline, adaptability, resilience, and strong leadership under pressure. Navigating male-dominated environments has taught me the importance of clear communication, composure, and leading by example. I also value the transferability of skills across different industries, which has allowed me to excel in diverse roles.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received was from my Dad. He said, “Don’t let school get in the way of your college education. College is about experiencing the world, making memories, and discovering yourself.” I have used that advice throughout my education and various careers, always asking more questions and seeking to discover what is beneath the surface. My Dad’s advice can be applied to almost any situation and has led me to excel when others have not. Understanding the why behind the big picture is one of my biggest strengths.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Trust your abilities and recognize the value of your transferable skills. Stay resilient, speak up, and pursue opportunities that align with your strengths—even if your path is unconventional. Don’t underestimate your experience, and let it guide your growth and leadership.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Women in leadership continue to face challenges related to visibility, recognition, and equitable advancement, particularly in traditionally male-dominated environments. However, there is an opportunity in the growing recognition of diverse leadership styles, cross-industry experience, and the value of adaptability, emotional intelligence, and practical problem-solving skills.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity, accountability, service, and family are central to my values. Professionally, I prioritize doing the job well, supporting my team, and leading with fairness and clarity. Personally, I focus on family, balance, and being present for the important moments in my children’s lives.
