About Amelie

Amelie Tedesco is a regulatory and compliance professional with more than 25 years of experience spanning pharmaceutical compliance, public health surveillance, laboratory science, and environmental toxicology. She currently serves as a Senior Compliance Specialist at Regeneron, where she drives compliance alignment across U.S., EU, and UK operations in accordance with global cGMP standards. Her responsibilities include auditing, supplier quality compliance, Change Control, CAPA, impact assessments, and audit readiness for supplier qualification and regulatory inspections.

In her role at Regeneron, Amelie has led the Supplier Corrective Action Report (SCAR) program, contributing to a 20% reduction in resolution and closure time. She also serves as a Change Control Owner, Workflow Author, Impact Assessor, and CAPA Owner, managing critical elements of the compliance lifecycle. Through cross-functional collaboration and coaching, she helps strengthen quality systems, promote continuous improvement, and develop sustainable compliance processes capable of meeting global regulatory expectations.

Before joining Regeneron, Amelie spent more than two decades with Health Research Inc. at the Wadsworth Center, where she worked as a Research Scientist supporting public health and clinical preparedness initiatives. Her work included method validation for the CDC Laboratory Response Network, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and advanced analytical testing using GC/MS/MS and LC/MS/MS instrumentation. She received the Commissioner's Excellence Award in 2016 for her contributions to public health initiatives. Amelie holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Siena College and completed a Public Health Fundamentals and Principles certificate through SUNY, where she subsequently entered an MPH track in Health Policy and Management.

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to perseverance and a commitment to continuous learning. I never give up, consistently pursue professional growth and education, and strive to be a positive, goal-driven team player who brings encouragement and value to others.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received is that the more you know, the more you grow. I believe in keeping an open mind, ignoring the noise, staying focused on my goals, and continuing to push forward.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the industry is to be exceptional, embrace what makes you unique, and always lead with openness and honesty. Don’t be intimidated by others—know your worth, trust your abilities, and confidently pursue your goals.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest opportunities in my field is to continue my extensive research and use those insights to help improve compliance procedures across New York State.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are integrity, honesty, and kindness. I strive to help those in need, lead by example, empower others, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those around me.
