Her Interview
Ten minutes with Amie
01What do you attribute your success to?
I definitely think mentors along the way, and then just family. I mean, I have two little girls that look up to me, so at home, so I think that combined with the husband, who's like the biggest cheerleader, I think if you have that at home and you have a mentor at work, I feel like you can really get anywhere in life.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Find your mentor, find someone to learn from, do not expect it to be perfect at it all, but you really will pick up on so many different things as you go, so if you keep that open mind to it.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I think marketing, you have to advocate for it to clients. You have to constantly show results, and so I think that's just the biggest challenge within that field right now is explaining why they need it and being able to back it up with the data. Every company needs marketing so I feel companies acknowledge that marketing is a necessity.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I think the main value is growth. You have to want to grow and then just knowing that even if you didn't succeed the first time, you try again. Persistence.
