Her Interview
Ten minutes with Amiee
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to hard work, persistence, relationship-building, and the support of my family. From an early age, I learned the value of responsibility and putting in the effort required to achieve meaningful goals. Throughout my career, I have focused on building genuine relationships, creating opportunities through networking, and continuously adapting to changing market conditions. During challenging periods, including the COVID-19 pandemic, creativity and perseverance helped me develop new initiatives that ultimately led to the creation of The ISV Society. I am also deeply grateful for the support of my family, particularly my husband, whose encouragement has helped me pursue entrepreneurial opportunities and long-term success.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I encourage young women to build relationships, have meaningful conversations, and actively seek mentors within the industry. The ERP and technology ecosystem offers numerous career paths, opportunities for growth, and a strong sense of community. By networking, learning from experienced professionals, and remaining open to new opportunities, you can accelerate your career development and establish a strong professional foundation. Curiosity, collaboration, and continuous learning are essential for long-term success in this field.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges is competing with larger organizations that have extensive reach, large audiences, and significant marketing resources. Additionally, some ERP ecosystems have well-developed communities and partnership networks, while others lack the same level of engagement, making it more difficult to gain traction and visibility. However, these challenges also create opportunities. Collaborative marketing, virtual and hybrid experiences, strategic partnerships, and expanding into new technology ecosystems provide tremendous potential for growth. As an entrepreneur, I have the freedom to experiment with new ideas, develop innovative initiatives, and identify effective approaches through continuous learning and adaptation.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Hard work, authenticity, trustworthiness, and family commitment are the values that guide both my professional and personal life. I believe success is earned through consistent effort, dedication, and integrity. Being someone others can trust and rely on is extremely important to me. My work is not driven solely by financial gain but by a genuine passion for helping Independent Software Vendors and channel partners become more visible, successful, and connected. I strive to make opportunities accessible, affordable, and beneficial for the broader community while maintaining strong relationships and staying true to my values.
