After 13 years in nursing, Mackey transitioned into entrepreneurship for greater flexibility. With a natural ability to build something from the ground up, she has developed her knowledge of business through independent study and life experience. 01What do you attribute your success to?
The key factor to my success is unwavering conviction—continuing forward even when circumstances give me no evidence that I’m on the right path. I’ve learned to trust my vision before I can see the results.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to focus on becoming more valuable, not just working harder. When you continuously develop your skills, solve bigger problems, and serve people well, opportunity and income naturally follow the value you create.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Master your craft, become exceptional at solving problems, and build systems that create consistency. Don’t wait for motivation—develop discipline, keep your word to yourself, and focus on becoming more valuable every day. Your opportunities will grow as your value grows.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The fastest way to solve challenges is to decide you don’t have any challenges.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
integrity, discipline, and growth. I believe in keeping my word, creating value for others, and becoming the kind of person capable of producing the life I envision. Success starts with who you become.
