With over a decade of experience in both public service and the private sector, Ammie has built a reputation for her leadership, commitment to community development, and ability to manage complex operations. She has a diverse background that spans roles in mortgage underwriting, hospitality, and customer service, highlighting her versatility and dedication to excellence in every position she holds.
Ammie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Corrections from Central State University, where she was actively involved in student leadership, athletics, and ROTC. Her college years were marked by a strong engagement in campus life, including serving as a Resident Advisor, a work-study librarian, and captain of the Lady Marauders Tennis Team. These experiences helped shape her collaborative approach, strong organizational skills, and passion for helping others succeed.
In addition to her professional work, Ammie is an entrepreneur and community advocate. She founded Gold Leaf Assistance, a virtual assistance service, and actively contributes to community initiatives through her volunteer work with Quicken Loans, focusing on poverty alleviation and community support. I attribute my success to resilience, purpose, and a commitment to making a meaningful impact. Growing up facing loss and poverty, I channeled those experiences into serving my community, bridging policy with grassroots initiatives, and empowering others through both my professional work and volunteer efforts.

The best career advice I’ve ever received came from my mentor, Tyrone Carter: always strive to bridge gaps—whether between community, nature, or policy—and make every effort to create meaningful impact.

My advice to young women entering this field is to find a mentor and use your voice to lift others—true influence comes from stepping up behind the scenes and following your passion to make a difference.

The values most important to me in my work and personal life are connecting with nature, giving back to the community, and finding balance through activities like kayaking and planting trees.
