Her Interview

Ten minutes with Amrita

01What do you attribute your success to?

Working hard, stepping in where no one wants to step in, and getting the job done. It hasn't mattered what has been thrown at me. I seem to thrive in change. I give it all I have and work towards it. Being able to adapt and make it what it needs to be has helped me.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Work hard, and nothing can ever stop you. As long as you work hard, success will follow. You don't have to chase success. Do the work.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't shy away. You might be the only woman in the room. Don't let it bring you down. Have belief in what you are doing and the conviction that even if you are wrong, tomorrow you will be right. It's okay to not always be right, but take accountability and move on. Hold your own and believe that you can do it.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Embracing the automation and AI. Using all the tools to gain efficiency. AI can give you back 20-30% of your time. If people can wrap their heads around it instead of being scared, they will go very far.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Being principled. Fairness, honesty, transparency. Treat people fairly and with respect. You can't demand trust and respect, it gets built by action over time. Treat people the way you want to be treated. Give credit where credit is due.
