Amrita Bhattacharya

She is an accomplished data scientist and biomedical researcher with over a decade of experience in statistical analysis, experimental design, and data integrity across academia and the biotech industry. Currently serving as Senior Scientist for Data Integrity at Rancho BioSciences, she leads end-to-end research and analytics projects delivering curated, harmonized, analysis-ready biomedical and healthcare datasets for biotech and pharma partners, designs and executes statistical analyses using R and Python, and applies rigorous study design and reproducible workflows to complex biological and clinical data across oncology, neurology, autoimmune, and infectious diseases. She previously served as Scientist for Data Integrity at the same organization and as a Statistical Programming, Experimental Design, and Project Management researcher at Penn State University, where she led large-scale quantitative analyses across more than 500 peer-reviewed publications and 425,000 data points and designed systematic literature surveys spanning over 800 drug-pathogen combinations. Her earlier career includes doctoral research at Indiana University Bloomington, where she developed a novel bioassay used in three first-author publications and supervised eight junior researchers, and as a Junior Research Scholar at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, where she trained in molecular biology, neurobiology, and microscopy. Her career reflects a deep commitment to scientific rigor, data integrity, and translating complex analytical findings into impactful, publication-quality research.
